Why I will not recognise Nwankwo as traditional ruler, Anambra man tells Court

A claimant to the traditional stool of Isiagu community in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Ben Ifeatu, has told Chief Magistrate Court I, sitting in Awka, that he did not recognise Igwe Austin Nwankwo as the traditional ruler of Isiagu ancient kingdom because, according to him, Nwakwo is not the authentic traditional ruler of the kingdom.

Ifeatu said he would not recognise the office of Nwankwo until he presents the certificate of recognition proving to the court that he is the authentic traditional ruler.

Law TV had earlier reported that Nwankwo told the court, on January 20, that Ifeatu, one his subjects, had continued to address him as Chief Austin Nwankwo, instead of addressing him as His Royal Majesty Igwe Austine Nwankwo, and had continued to incite other members of the community against him.
